Teaching rural women local handcraft skills and getting them work, also providing heath and education initiatives for their families.
Also, in Bangalore, a new but important effort is undergoing by saving scraps from tailors and sewing useful handicraft and donating them:
Awamaki, working with artisans in Sacred Valley, Peru to raise quality of life through employment and health trainings and opportunities.
In Kenya - GirlsonFire.org supports education and creates mentoring networks and programs for young girls and women in rural areas.
